swine flu fatalities cdc
Why is everyone scared of swine flu?
The media has turned this into an absolute circus. If you read the stats on the CDC page, approx 36,000 people in the US alone die from complications caused by the normal human flu. Yet you don’t see the media turning that into a huge debacle.
Why is everyone scared of the swine flu? There have only been a handful of fatalities and those people were not healthy anyway. This is not like the ’superflu’ from that book ‘The Stand’ by Stephen King. This virus is rarely deadly and can be overcome by anyone with a decent immune system.
Argh! I’m so tired of hearing swine flu this, and swine flu that. It’s become a joke. Anyone else sick of it?
But seriously, why are people scared? There are much worse things out there that have been there for a long time, only the media hasn’t gotten claws into those other things yet.
i totally agree with you but i think the stupidest part is when people ask other people (ie right here in yahoo answers) whether or not they have swine flu…its like just go and see a doctor! its not even that bad of a flu! other diseases kill people every day (ie the regular flu kills thousands of people in the winter) yet still tons of people don’t get a flu shot!
