Kidney Infection, or Flu?
About 10 days ago I was diagnosed with a UTI. I took the full course of antibiotics and felt better within three days. However, this week I’ve had a bunch of Flu symptoms (fever, chills, body ache, sore throat) but I’m also having bad lower back pain. Is it possible that this is a kidney infection even though I don’t have any pain with urination? I feel like it may just be the flu, especially since its spreading like crazy in my area, but I also know letting a kidney infection go is dangerous. I’d appreciate any advice!
And if it is a kidney infection, is it okay to wait till tomorrow to go to the doctor? Or is it necessary to go to the ER?
low backache is not a usual symptom of kidney infection,it could be due to musculo-skeletal pain of flu.
to be sure get a urine microscopy and culture done after consulting your doc.
